Jon remembers that the beauty process is not about ego, imposing boisterous opinions, or strict rules. It is always about the woman sitting before him. With brief stints working for salons, Jon could never wrap his head around working for someone else. Therefore it’s not surprising that he helped open the first and most acclaimed beauty apothecary of its kind. Feeling unfulfilled after 9 years in that business, Jon began to open his eyes a little wider to the beauty industry and the state of the world. He realized the tremendous opportunities in sharing his skills and knowledge in the development of future artists and stylists, providing hope beyond a makeup department store counter.
